Federal law (5 U.S.C. § 6103) establishes the public holidays listed below. When a holiday occurs on a Saturday, the Friday before is observed as the holiday. When a holiday occurs on a Sunday, the Monday after is observed as the holiday. Additional holidays may be declared by the Court, by Federal statute, or by Executive Order.
